WeSupport is our mentorship pipeline for students, alumnae, and professionals, focused on creating long-lasting, authentic relationships integral to personal development and professional success. Tier 1 pairs first and second-year students with a third, fourth, or fifth year student mentor. Tier 2 pairs third, fourth, and fifth year students with alumnae and professional mentors.
The goal of Tier 1 is for cohort members to meet new people and expand their networks, explore different fields of interest, and become an integral part of an innovative community, both inside and outside of Northeastern.
Tier 2 focuses on fostering professional connections and supporting the cohort’s ambitions by building an influential network across various industries and roles.
Through our selection and application processes, a mentee-mentor match is made.Pairs are expected to meet at least 3 times during the semester, either virtually or in person. Session guides and worksheets with monthly themes are provided to facilitate conversations and provide a basis for discussion. Pairings are encouraged to maintain relationships throughout their time on campus and beyond.
WeSupport also has a two-part bi-monthly event series, Community Events and Office Hours. Community Events are hosted with the purpose of extending outside of the professional space and building relationships within the cohort beyond their pairings. Office Hours are fireside chats lead by mentors, overviewing and highlighting the importance of mentorship in all facets of their lives; discussing key lessons for personal development, tips for career growth, and more!
