WeLaunch is a venture catalyst and accelerator for women founders and founders in underrepresented genders, developed a go-to-market strategy, and need help launching. After seven weeks of intensive weekly classes and coursework, cohort members will be eligible for funding and acquire skills in several company-building fields, providing them with the confidence to successfully run their ventures. WeLaunch offers access to knowledgable business experts, funding opportunities, and a community of business owners that align with WISE’s mission, all of which cultivate a safe and supportive building environment.
In 2020 alone, female identifying entrepreneurs received just 2.3% of total venture capital funding, despite starting businesses 4.8x quicker than the national average. There are limited resources that focus on directly supporting women founders and founders in underrepresented genders, which includes cis women, trans women, trans men, and non-binary people. WeLaunch exists to solve that problem! On top of the weekly workshops and strong community, program participants will have the opportunity to apply for grants to further the progress of their startups and gain confidence in themselves.
We will offer a selection of grants that program participants can directly apply for. These funding opportunties will be created to support different aspects of their businesses from production to product development.
